Year 2 have been celebrating Chinese New Year this week. We followed a recipe to make some delicious Chinese New Year Cookies.
Last week Year 2 loved listening to ‘The Go Away Bird’ by Julia Donaldson. We researched birds using kiddle and made fact files.We went birdwatching and made graphs of our findings. We enjoyed making treats for the birds in our garden, and even made our own nests.

It’s all about the Meerkats in Mrs Gay’s Class this week. Mrs Gay read the story Meerkat Mail by Emily Gravett. The children have been busy drawing the character Sunny and Ava-Rose wrote a lovely story map about Sunny’s adventures.
We looked at the book growing vegetable soup. The children followed instructions to make vegetable soup. They sorted fruit from vegetables. They found out what countries fruit and veg comes from. Mrs Jenkins is so proud of you.
Mrs Jenkins' class have been working hard on learning subtraction and consolidation addition. Amazing work everyone!
